We have a great opportunity for you to join ACS in a Business Development Director role in our Verona, WI or Troy, MI office.

The successful Business Development Director is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction relationships. They will work with internal management to achieve business growth objectives. To successfully deliver sales opportunities, the Director will work collaboratively with the Marketing team, regional ACS management and the broader ACS team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to successfully navigate customers’ requirements and secure orders for new projects
  • Experience in industrial process building design and construction, industrial automation and controls, and custom process and test equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development field
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred
  • Ability to understand the current regional business climate and align ACS approach to achieve market leadership.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex concepts/technical information, to make it easy for clients to understand
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a particular focus on communications, service orientation, and accountability for results.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively as a team member; build relationships to facilitate goal achievement
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize work assignments with critical deadlines; effective project management skills. Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Will develop and foster business opportunities that result in organizational growth, including the development and performance of all business development activities to achieve sales revenue, sales profitability and budget objectives
  • Will implement strategies designed to expand market share in current and emerging markets
  • Lead and assist with complex sales negotiations, create and deliver sales presentations and successfully navigate to customer fulfillment.
  • Directly manage very large, high-profile client accounts.
  • Help develop sales proposals and responses to request for proposals (RFPs).
  • Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Represent ACS at various industry and community activities; meet and network regularly with business leaders in the industry and community and participate in management roles with appropriate industry trade organizations.
  • Participate in the development of the annual business plan and sales strategies for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings to review sales activities, coordinate business development efforts and collaborate on sales opportunities.
  • Maintain up to date records in company CRM tool (Microsoft dynamics)
  • Effectively utilize existing standard sales operating procedures and best practices while continually pursuing opportunities for improvement.
