    The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be highly knowledgeable and experienced in Industrial HVAC and Mechanical Systems design, code review and commissioning. The individual will lead design team meetings, develop designs from concept through construction documents for a variety of laboratory, process, and industrial projects.   This position will be located in our Middleton, WI office.    

     

    Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Lead preliminary concept discussions with clients on challenging and often unique project.
    • Determine equipment sizing and capacity assessments for early design concepts
    • Interface with external design consultants for structural, architectural, or specialty equipment coordination.

    Basic requirements include: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in producing design documents for HVAC building systems in technically complex facilities.
    • PE License or has the ability to become licensed is required
    • Knowledge of chilled tower, process and hot water systems, steam, gas, refrigeration, compressed air, fuel, comfort and process air side systems.
    • Experience with fire suppression and plumbing systems.
    • Ability to create design documents in AutoCAD and REVIT.
    • Excellent communication and technical writing skills required.
    • Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work well in project team environment, including: team player, takes initiative to improve personal and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all internal and external levels and groups.
    • Ability to travel to customer facilities for design meetings, equipment installation supervision, and commissioning.
